At Brighid’s Mantle, music is a testimony to the sparking of the Fire in the Head, unleashed with our creative inspiration. We ground our students in the fundamentals of the instruments we teach here so that when that divine inspiration strikes, they will have the skills to translate it into musical expression that touches them and others in their presence.
Fluency on an instrument can take many seasons and hours of devoted attention; mastery takes even more. However, enjoyment on an instrument can come very quickly if one is able to approach learning with playfulness and open-heartedness, both attitudes we nurture in our teaching methods.
As a student, you will begin learning to play with ear training. We will also teach you to read music. We work with your personal needs as a student. If you have already been playing your instrument for some time, we can help you go to the next level.
